In today's beef industry, we hear over and over that big is going to be the way of the future. As a writer, who has been covering this business for almost 30 years, I still find the large majority of our producers are small. I also find that this business continually draws new people into it and who, for the most part have little or no knowledge of day-to-day management practices, so I hope to help you with a convenient and easy to download site with some of the basic problems encountered by beef producers. The information will be in formats that will quickly download.

I have created this site to assist new and small beef producers and to highlight another exciting part of our industry- its youth. 4-H, FFA and the showing of animals provide a tremendous platform for leadership, creativity, hard work and accomplishments by our youth. Plus I have had the opportunity to meet many talented and genuinely nice folks in my tenure and I will share some of their stories with you from time to time.
